These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scenic Routes website and the booking of any tours, excursions, activities, or services offered by Scenic Routes (licensed by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, Licence N° 47D-20192).
By making a booking or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Company Information
Scenic Routes is a Moroccan-owned travel company based in Marrakech. We organize multi-day tours, day trips, and activities across Morocco, led by local Berber/Amazigh guides.
2. Bookings and Payments
- A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required deposit (typically 20%) and send written confirmation.
- The balance is payable on arrival in Morocco (EUR, USD, MAD, or card) unless otherwise agreed.
- Prices are quoted per person and include the services listed in the itinerary. They do not include personal expenses, tips, travel insurance, or items marked as optional.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a significant error is discovered after booking, we will contact you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel with a full refund of amounts paid.
3. Cancellations and Changes by the Traveler
- Free cancellation or changes up to 7 days before departure (as stated on our site).
- Cancellations within 7 days of departure may result in loss of the deposit or partial/full payment, depending on costs already incurred (accommodation, transport, guides).
- No-shows are non-refundable.
- Name changes or date changes are subject to availability and any additional costs.
4. Cancellations and Changes by Scenic Routes
- We may cancel or modify a departure due to insufficient numbers, safety concerns, force majeure (weather, political events, natural disasters, etc.), or operational reasons.
- In case of cancellation by us, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund of amounts paid to us. We are not responsible for additional costs you may incur (flights, hotels, etc.).
5. Travel Documents and Requirements
- You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport, any required visas, and travel insurance that covers the activities you book (including desert travel and adventure activities).
- Morocco entry requirements can change; please verify them before travel.
6. Health, Fitness & Conduct
- Most of our tours require no special fitness level. Optional activities (camel rides, dune walks, etc.) can be skipped.
- You must inform us of any medical conditions, mobility limitations, or special needs at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or remove a traveler from a tour if their behavior endangers others or significantly disrupts the group. No refund will be given in such cases.
7. Liability
- Scenic Routes acts as an organizer of travel services. We take reasonable care in selecting partners (riads, camps, drivers, guides).
- We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, third-party suppliers, or the traveler’s own actions.
- Adventure activities (camel trekking, desert camping, hiking, etc.) carry inherent risks. Participation is at your own risk.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific booking.
8. Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is the traveler’s responsibility. It should cover cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and adventure activities.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (text, images, itineraries, logos) is owned by or licensed to Scenic Routes and may not be copied or used without permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Marrakech, Morocco, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
